Two separate operations carried out by Tajik drug control officers have reportedly resulted in the seizure of nearly 14 kilograms hashish  

An operation carried out by drug control officers jointly with border guards in the Shugnan district of the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) has resulted in the arrest of Afghan national Zahir waladi Pahlawan who illegally crossed the border river.

Twenty packages of narcotic drug that tested positive to hashish weighing 9.215 kilograms were confiscated from him, according to the press center of the Drug Control Agency (DCA) under the President of Tajikistan.  

The second operation has been carried out at the Dushanbe-Tursunzoda parking bay.  Tajik national was arrested on suspicion of being involved in drug trafficking.  Five packages of hashish weighing 4.775 kilograms were confiscated from him.  

Criminal proceedings have been instituted and investigations into both cases are under way.
