Tajikistan’s investment portfolio, in particular, includes 25 grant based projects, 14 loan based projects and 29 mixed-finance projects.

“2.6 billion somoni (equivalent to 293.5 million U.S. dollars) were drawn in the framework of these projects last year,” a source at GosKomInvest said.

Tajikistan reportedly attracted 1.1 billion U.S. dollars in foreign investments (Eurobonds included) last year.

In 2017, Tajikistan signed 18 investment projects worth 608.6 million USD, 362 USD more than in 2016, the source added.

Of this amount, 474.9 million USD (73 percent) are reportedly provided in a form of loans and 133.9 million USD (22 percent) are provided in a form of grants.

Within the next fourteen years, the authorities plan to attract annually more than 4 billion U.S. dollars in private investments.  In all, more than 50 billion U.S. dollars are expected to be invested in Tajikistan’s economy over the report period.
