Uzbek authorities will allocate the 1 ha plot of land in downtown Tashkent for construction of Tajikistan’s Embassy, a source in the Tajik government told Asia-Plus in an interview.

According to him, Tajikistan will finance construction of the Embassy building and apartment building for Tajik diplomats.

“Besides, an agreement on construction of a modern school and hospital in Tajikistan is expected to be signed during Uzbek president’s state visit to Tajikistan,” the source said.

Uzbekistan will finance construction of these facilities; the hospital will be built in in one of districts in the Sughd province and hospital will be built in one of districts in the Khatlon province.  

The state visit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Tajikistan is scheduled to take place in early March.
