President Emomali Rahmon is expected to unveil the Abu Ali Sino (Avicenna) Monument installed in new place on September 1 this year, an official source at the Dushanbe mayor’s office told Asia-Plus in an interview.

According to him, the head of state will give the Lesson on Peace at the Tajik Medical University.

Representatives of all Dushanbe-based higher educational institutions have been invited to attend the event, the source added.

Recall, the Avicenna Monument has been relocated to the Medical University Campus in connection with construction of a new flyover in the Tajik capital.

Construction of the new three-route flyover in the Qariyai Bolo roundabout is part of the project aiming at rehabilitating and upgrading a 62-kilometer road linking Dushanbe to the Uzbek border.

The Avicenna Monument that was installed in Dushanbe in 1984 has been relocated from its original installation in the Qariyai Bolo area and installed at new buildings of the Tajik Medical University.
