Tajik authorities have begun creating a draft budget for 2022.  According to the Ministry of Finance (MoF) Secretariat, a MoF began creating the draft budget for the next year in late January.  

The Government ordered the MoF to submit th draft budget for 2022 and forecast of budget indicators for 2023-2024 for consideration before September 20. 

By government’s order an inter-agency working group (WG) comprising representatives of relevant ministries and agencies at the level of deputy heads has been set up at the MoF.  

An instruction on formation of national budget indicators for 2022-2024 has already been sent to all relevant ministries and agencies.  

Based on forecast of the main macroeconomic indicators, total incomes of the draft budget for 2022 are projected to stand at 31 billion somonis (equivalent to US$2.7 billion U.S.). 

The expenditure part of the draft budget for the next year is projected to stand at 31 billion somonis (equivalent to US$2.7 billion). 

Recall, revenues of the budget for 2021 were projected to be 27.6 billion somonis and its expenditures were projected to stand at 28.1 billion somonis.
