Tajik President Emomali Rahmon will start a four-day working visit to the northern Sughd provice tomorrow, August 9, according to the Tajik president’s official website .  

Rahmon is reportedly expected to visit the cities of Istaravshan, Konibodom, Buston and Guliston as well as Bobojon-Ghafourov district during his working visit to northern Tajikistan.  

The Tajik president’s official website says the  main purpose of the visit is for the head of state to get acquainted with the pace of development of the province. 

While in Sughd, Rahmon will participate in official opening ceremonies of opening of a number of economic and social facilities there.

He will also get acquainted with the pace of the agricultural works in the province and communicate with the residents of these areas.

Thus, Rahmon will participate in official opening ceremonies of garment factory, workshop for the production of handmade carpets from wool and silk and paper mill in Buston City.  

In Istaravshan City, Rahmon will inaugurate diversified industrial and manufacturing enterprise as well as textile and clothing enterprise.  

In Konibodom City, Emomali Rahmon will participate in an official opening ceremony of a dried fruit processing plant.  

While in northern Tajikistan, the president is also expected to inaugurate a number of social facilities, administrative centers and residential buildings.
