CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas held telephone conversations with the secretaries of the Security Councils of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan in connection with the aggravation of the situation on the border of the two countries on Friday morning, reported the CSTO secretariat in the Telegram channel.

Stanislav Zas, Nasrullo Mahmudzoda and Marat Imankulov during the negotiations expressed the need for an immediate ceasefire and negotiations on the current situation through the competent authorities to resolve the conflict exclusively by peaceful means.

Meanwhile, the efforts of the Tajik side to stabilize the situation on the Tajik-Kyrgyz border before 11:10 were unsuccessful, as the Kyrgyz side continues shelling and refuses to resolve the issue through negotiations, informs the press center of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan.
