The Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan are shelling with all types of heavy and firearms the border villages of Tajikistan, civilian buildings and houses of civilians, – says the press center of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan.

«Servicemen of the special forces of Kyrgyzstan carried out an armed attack on the houses of civilians in the villages of Bogiston and Lakon in the city of Isfara and set fire to houses and outbuildings», – stated in the statement.

Tajik border troops accuse the Kyrgyz side of ignoring proposals for a ceasefire and peace talks.

«The relevant authorities of Tajikistan twice, at 06:30 and 07:30, unilaterally ceased fire and offered to start negotiations, but the Kyrgyz military ignored these proposals and continued shelling, using all types of weapons. Settlements of Tajikistan subjected to heavy shelling», – informs the press center.

It is emphasized that the efforts of the Republic of Tajikistan to stabilize the situation on the border do not give positive results due to the fact that the Kyrgyz military ignore proposals for peace talks
