The State Unitary Enterprise "Center for Digitalization of the Transport Industry" of the Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan is working on the implementation of a billing system throughout the country's public transport.

"This system implies automated accounting of services provided, their billing and billing for payment," the Ministry of Transport reports.

The Ministry recalled that since August 1, 2023, according to the decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, payment of taxes, duties and other payments, as well as acceptance of funds by state organizations, is carried out in non-cash form. At the last government meeting, Emomali Rahmon instructed ministries and departments to take measures to strictly regulate the acceptance of non-cash payments for public services.

According to the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan, as of July 30 this year, 81.2% of the financial transactions of the Ministry and its subordinate institutions were carried out online.

It is worth noting that buses and trolleybuses in Dushanbe are already provided with validators that accept payment for travel through a single Citycard travel card. This is a plastic card that can be purchased from trolleybus and bus drivers, at kiosks and terminals located at transport stops around the city, and in terminals you can replenish the card balance.

At the moment, in international passenger trains of the State Unitary Enterprise "Tajik Railway", ticket sales are also carried out in a non-cash way through the electronic wallet of the automated control System "Express" online, which is convenient and profitable for the buyer.
