The International Bank of Tajikistan has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation with the international technology corporation Huawei and IT Service.

The signing of the MoU is a significant step in the development of the bank's digital infrastructure and the implementation of modern IT solutions in the Tajikistan market, says a statement released by the Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) International Bank of Tajikistan (IBT).

The parties will combine efforts to create a sustainable and innovative technological ecosystem capable of providing the bank's clients with even more reliable, fast, and convenient digital services.

The cooperation reportedly aims not only to improve the bank's internal IT infrastructure but also to foster the overall growth of digital literacy and technological potential in Tajikistan's financial sector.

“Together, we are building a reliable, innovative future for Tajikistan's banking sector,” the statement notes.

CJSC International Bank of Tajikistan that was established in April 2014 as the microfinance organization “Standart Moliya” (Standard Finance) was upgraded into a commercial bank on February 29, 2016.  The bank’s stakeholders reportedly include a private company and a group of nationals of Tajikistan.

The IBT, with headquarters in Dushanbe, currently has fifteen branches and twelve banking service centers in several districts and cities across the country.  The bank's auditor is BAKER TILLY TAJIKISTAN.

Founded in Shenzhen 1987, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd (Huawei) is a Chinese multinational corporation and technology company.  Its main product lines include telecommunications  equipment, consumer electronics, electric vehicle autonomous driving systems, and rooftop solar power products.  

Initially focused on manufacturing phone switches, Huawei has expanded to more than 170 countries to include building telecommunications network infrastructures, providing equipment, operational and consulting services, and manufacturing communications devices for the consumer market.

Founded in 2008, IT Service reportedly specializes in supplying a wide range of high-quality and reliable networking equipment.
