On December 9, President Emomali Rahmon inaugurated a new aluminum products plant, Aluminiy Avvalin (First Aluminum) LLC, in the city of Tursunzoda.

According to the Tajik president’s official website, the facility was established by local entrepreneur Khurshed Azizov in partnership with the foreign company Treks Muhandislik.

Built in honor of the upcoming 35th anniversary of Tajikistan’s independence, the plant occupies reportedly 6.2 hectares and was constructed with high quality standards. The building phase began in October 2022 and was completed within the scheduled timeframe.

Located within the industrial zone of Tursunzoda, the new facility is now one of the country’s key enterprises in aluminum processing. According to officials, the plant is equipped with advanced technological lines and is capable of producing 40 types of aluminum profiles, with an annual production capacity of 10,000 tons of high-quality products.

The launch of the factory has created 160 permanent jobs for local residents, contributing to regional employment and industrial development.

On the same day, the president inaugurated Secondary School No. 23 in the village of Regar.

The school is designed to accommodate 1,056 students in two shifts. It features 20 classrooms and specialized laboratories for chemistry, biology, physics, geography, vocational training, basic military training, and information technology, all equipped with modern learning materials.

Additionally, via virtual conference, the president opened eight more educational institutions in Tursunzoda. These include schools in the villages of Rohat, Faizobod, Shurkhok, Yuldosh Ashourov, Husnobod, Navobod, Shulum, and the village of 10th Anniversary of Independence. Together, these schools can serve around 8,000 students and will employ 400 teachers.

As part of his visit, Emomali Rahmon also inaugurated the private kindergarten “Ghunchahoi Istiqlol” in the village of Ismoili Somoni.

The facility is equipped to serve 250 children and features modern furniture and educational toys. Instruction will be offered in Tajik, Russian, and English.
