On December 13, Dushanbe hosted one of the country’s most anticipated cultural events — the Tarona Music Award 2025. Organized by Asia-Plus Radio, the ceremony brought together Tajikistan’s most popular performers, whose songs were chosen by listeners.

Only artistes whose tracks received the highest number of votes took to the stage, making the award a true reflection of public choice. For one night, the Akasharif Juraev State Philharmonic Hall was transformed into a large-scale concert venue with modern sound systems, impressive lighting, and giant screens.

Stars on the red carpet

The evening traditionally began with a red-carpet ceremony. Artists appeared before cameras in stylish outfits, spoke with journalists, and shared their excitement.

Particular attention was drawn to Nilufari Sarboz in a striking purple gown and Khujastai Mirzovali in an elegant black ensemble. Many performers noted that receiving the award symbolized genuine public recognition and love.

Hosts and stage atmosphere

The ceremony opened with a dynamic light show, setting an energetic tone for the night. The event was hosted by Subhon Jalilov, joined once again by virtual co-host Taronakhon Zehnizoda — an AI-created character who appeared even more confident and expressive this year.

Journalist and TV presenter Alina Valamat-Zade also joined the hosts, adding humor and lively interaction.

Top performances of the year

Fifteen of the year’s best artists performed on stage, each presenting carefully crafted numbers combining music, choreography, and visual effects.

Afzalshoh Safarzoda opened the show, accompanied by dancers from the Opera and Ballet Theatre. Jamshed Ismoilov performed “Suroghi Yor” with the Lola ensemble, while Nilufari Sarboz delivered one of the evening’s most powerful performances with “Birav-Birav,” addressing themes of freedom and dignity.

Zulaykho Mahmadshoeva energized the audience with “Guli Dastat,” while Nigina Amonqulova impressed with her emotional performance of “Dilam.” Noziya Karomatullo captivated the audience with “Har Shab” and received her award from Mukesh Puri, representative of the Indian Embassy, highlighting her growing international recognition.

Uzbek singer Saya Musa also took the stage and was honored by legendary Tajik musician Daler Nazarov, who praised her artistic potential.

Partners who made the event possible

A special part of the Tarona Music Award 2025 ceremony was dedicated to acknowledging the partners whose support played a key role in the successful organization of the country’s main music event.

The hosts expressed gratitude to the general partner IM GROUP, the official partner Vasl Bank, the official digital partner Tcell, as well as event partners Fly.tj, the flower boutique Guli Anor, MDO Imon International, Nicetea Tajikistan, and the international automotive holding Vector.

The Guli Anor flower boutique prepared exclusive bouquets for each performer, adding elegance and a festive touch to the ceremony. The international automotive holding Vector ensured a spectacular arrival of artists on the red carpet by providing modern vehicles.

Security and order throughout the event were maintained by the Bars security agency, ensuring a smooth and safe ceremony.

Surprises and a patriotic finale

One of the highlights was a surprise prize draw by Fly.tj, which awarded a holiday trip for two to Kish Island.

The ceremony concluded with a powerful joint performance of the patriotic song “Man Tojikam,” followed by the traditional Tarona anthem sung by all participating artists.

Tarona Music Award 2025 once again confirmed its status as Tajikistan’s premier music event, demonstrating the unifying power of music and leaving audiences with lasting impressions.
