DUSHANBE, May 13, 2013, Asia-Plus — A group of members of the Coordinating Council of Business Associations and Public Associations (CCBAPAT) of Tajikistan have expressed no-confidence to the CCBAPAT head Zayd Saidov and stated the intention to consider the issue of abolishing the Council.

The Coordinating Council of Business Associations and Public Associations has reportedly met in Dushanbe today to discuss issues related to displacement of top managers of the Council, including its head Zayd Saidov.

Besides, some members of the Council have expressed no-confidence to the CCBAPAT head Zayd Saidov and stated the intention to consider the issue of abolishing the Council.

According to them, Zayd Saidov and some other leaders of the Council have used it for their own benefits and achieving their political goals.

The Coordinating Council of Business Associations and Public Associations of Tajikistan was established in 2007 in order to support the business associations and improve the private sector in the country and Zayd Saidov was elected to head CCBAPAT last summer.

Tajik law enforcement authorities have reprotedly instituted criminal proceedings against Zayd Saidov after he recently declared the formation of a new political party – Tojikistoni Nav (New Tajikistan).  He faces charges of embezzlement of public funds and polygamy.
