DUSHANBE, September 11, 2013, Asia-Plus – Kulab police officers defused an organized drug trafficking gang during a special operation.

Ministry of Interior’s official website reports that 45-year-old Fazil Baranov, 55-year-old Teshakhan Sabirov, 54-year-old Gurez Liqaev – all Kulab residents, and 41-year-old Sadriddin Safaraliev, resident of Shourabad District, which borders Afghanistan.

The published information notes: “7.5 kilograms of cannabis and 4 kilograms of raw opium was seized from the arrested persons.”
