DUSHANBE, December 23, 2013, Asia-Plus — Tajikistan now purchases up to 700 tractors from Belarus per year.

Belarusian Ambassador to Tajikistan, Ms. Olga Gavruk, stated this at a press conference in Dushanbe on December 23.

The press conference dedicated to bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Belarus took place at the Republic Press Center.

“Belarus exported 4 billion U.S. dollars worth of farm produce to other countries last year, and the Belarusian authorities plan to increase this figure to 7 billion U.S. dollars,” Ms Gavruk noted.

The Bobruisk plant of tractor parts and units has opened its branch here for assembling mini tractors, Belarusian diplomat said, noting that Tajikagroleasing, Agrotechservice, Madadi Tursunzoda and several other private companies had delivered 1,201 MTZ tractors to the total amount of 142/3 million somoni to Tajikistan in 2011-2012.
