Chair of the Tajik Labor Migrants Movement – a Russian NGO, Karamat Sharipov, arrived to Dushanbe on August 12, according to the portal of the Tajik Labor Migrants Movement.

According to the portal, Mr. Sharipov’s visit to his homeland is related to his civic duty of defending the legitimate rights of his compatriots in Russia.

Mr. Sharipov plans to meet in Tajikistan with Mahmoudjan Sanginov, who was sold by his own compatriots as a slave to a Russian entrepreneur, and was wounded when escaping. A criminal case related to the fact is opened in Russia, where Karamat Sharipov is a rights defendant.

Mr. Sharipov has also planned a number of unofficial meetings on identifying the situation with the “black intermediaries,” who acted as wardens in “Moscow” mall.

The message says: “It is the ‘black intermediaries’ that form the slave market from among Tajik citizens. Information about ‘black intermediaries’ being guided from Tajikistan, Mr. Sharipov received from the head of ‘Moscow’ mall’s security services.”

Karamat Sharipov hopes to be heard by Tajik officials, as well as by the local state and commercial media outlets.

It is note that one of the tasks of the Chair of Tajik Labor Migrants NGO is to attempt to organize live talks with the youth of Tajikistan, who are in Russia. The message says: “Tajik authorities should find the strength to listen to the truth, no matter how hard-hitting it is.”
