Members of capital legislature endorses increase in Dushanbe budget for 2007

DUSHANBE, March 30, Asia-Plus — Members of the Dushanbe legislature (Majlis) have endorsed a decision to increase the city’s budget for 2007 by 59,761,547 somonis.

A session of the Dushanbe legislature was held on March 29. 

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said that the session approved the decision to increase the city’s budget for 2007 by 59,761,547 somonis.  “Of this amount, 45,327,748 somonis will go to the city’s budget and 14,433,700 somonis to budgets of the Dushanbe districts,” the spokesman said.   

Besides, the session heard report on a progress of the implementation of the Majlis resolutions and tasks of local governments. 

The session also passed a resolution obligating Vosit Rustamov, the head of office of the mayor, to provide the Majlis members with necessary information about the implementation of the legislature’s decisions, meetings of deputies with voters, as well as meetings of heads of the city’s law enforcement agencies and other bodies with the population
