DUSHANBE, April 28, 2015, Asia-Plus — A mild earthquake measuring 3.0 on a 12-point scale jolted Khorog, the capital of the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) Tuesday morning, at 10:03 am, according to the Geophysics Service of the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.
Centered 300 kilometers to the southeast of Dushanbe and 25 kilometers to the east of Khorog, the earthquake could be felt in some other districts of Gorno Badakhshan as well.
In the epicenter, the earthquake’s magnitude was reportedly 4.0 on Richter scale.
The 3.0 magnitude tremor was felt in the Ishkashim as well, the source said.
