DUSHANBE, April 30, Asia-Plus  — Two Tajik judo players, Sherali Bozorov and Nematullo Asronqulov, have qualified for Beijing Olympics, bringing a total number of Tajik athletes having qualified for the 29th Summer Olympic Games to  13.

According to Tajikistan’s National Olympic Committee (NOC), Bozorov and Asronqulov were among the top five in their weight classes in the 2008 Asian Judo Championships that were held in Jeiju City, South Korea from April 26 to April 27.    

We will recall that eleven Tajik athletes, including Dilshod Nazarov (hammer throwing), Galina Mityayeva (track and field athletics), Rasoul Boqiyev (judo), Yusuf Abdusalomov (free-style wrestling), boxers Anvar Yunusov, Jahon Qurbonov and Sherali Dostiyev, swimmers Yekaterina Izmaylova and Alisher Chingizov, female archer Albina Kamolitdinova, and free-style wrestler Vitaly Koryakin have also qualified for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
