DUSHANBE, October 15, 2015, Asia-Plus – Thirty-six countries of the world have provided 31.5 million U.S. dollars worth of more than 16,000 tons of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan over the first nine months of this year, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.
Over the same nine-month period, among the donor countries the greatest share in value reportedly came from the Netherlands – 10.8 percent, Russia – 9.8 percent; China – 8.6 percent; the United States – 6.8 percent; Denmark – 6.7 percent; the United Arab Emirates (UAE) – 5.7 percent; Austria – 3.3 percent; Afghanistan – 3.1 percent; India – 2.5 percent; Latvia – 2.2 percent; Iran – 1.9 percent; France – 1.8 percent; Kuwait – 1.6 percent; Kazakhstan – 1.4 percent; Kyrgyzstan – 1.3 percent; Norway – 1.0 percent; and others.
