DUSHANBE, October 15, 2015, Asia-Plus – Over the first nine months of this year, Tajikistan has produced a total of more than 8.3 billion somoni (equivalent to more than 1.2 billion U.S. dollars) worth of industrial goods, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

Compared to the same period of the last year the index of the volume of production of industrial goods amounted to 112.8 percent.

Of 2,012 industrial enterprises registered in the country, 339 enterprises, including 109 small enterprises, were not in operation in January-September this year.

Of the 100 basic types of industrial products, the output of 54 (54.0 percent) has increased in January-September this year, and the output of 41 items (41.0 percent) has decreased over the same eight-month period.  Five (5.0 percent) basic types of industrial products have not been produced over the report period.
