DUSHANBE, October 15, 2015, Asia-Plus – A resident of the Tajik southern city of Kulob has been detained by local police on suspicion of disseminating idea of the Islamic State (IS) extremist group.

An official source at the Tajik law enforcement authorities says Mahmadali Islomov, 32, who is former member of the banned Islamic Revival Party (IRP), is suspected of hoisting the IS flag on the Kulob Entrance Gate in early September this year.

According to him, Islomov has been transported to Dushanbe and his is currently being held at the detention center of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS).

We will recall that two groups were detained in August for hanging out IS flags in the city of Norak and the Shahritous district.
