DUSHANBE, December 9, 2015, Asia-Plus – New Tajik Ambassador to Japan Hamrokhon Zarifi presented his credentials to Emperor Akihito today.

According to the Tajik MFA information department, the ceremony of the presentation of credentials took place at the Imperial Palace.

After the ceremony, the talks took place in a warm friendly atmosphere.

Ambassador Zarifi reportedly conveyed President Rahmon”s warm greetings and best wishes to His Imperial Majesty Emperor Akihito of Japan.

In the course of the talks, Emperor Akihito shared his opinion on a successful visit of Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to Tajikistan.

Tajik diplomat, for his part noted that the visit of Shinzo Abe was important and fruitful for both countries.

Zarifi also held talks with Japan’s Minister of Justice Mitsuhide Iwaki, who also attended the ceremony of the presentation of credentials.  The two reportedly exchanged views on prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Japan.
