DUSHANBE, March 7, Asia-Plus — On occasion of an International Women’s Day, which is marked in Tajikistan on March 8, the Dushanbe mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev on Wednesday signed a resolution on providing extraordinary grants to more than 3,000 women, Asia-Plus has learned from Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the capital mayor.  

According to him, 717 women, including the veterans of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 and operations in the territories of other countries, as well as more than 300 women, whose spouses or children died during protection of the constitutional order in Tajikistan, will receive extraordinary grant of 350 somonis each. 

Besides, more than 2000 stateswomen, female public figures and chairwomen of mahalla (community) committees and others will receive extraordinary grants of 300 somonis, the spokesman said. 

1.028 somonis have been allocating from the city budget for providing these extraordinary grants.  

Ubaidulloyev will hold a ceremonial meeting dedicated to International Women’s Day at the mayor’s office today.
