The Supreme Court of Tajikistan has sentenced a resident of Tursunzoda city Azimjon Izotmandov to 23 years of imprisonment with punishment serving in a colony of strict regime for the murder of his wife’s sister.

He was found guilty under the article 32 (preparation for crime and attempted crime), 104 (murder), 247 (fraud) and 249 (robbery), reported the press center of the Prosecutor General of Tajikistan.

The convicted gained the confidence of his wife’s sister F. Melikuzieva for assistance in obtaining a land plot for building a house, got a reward of 15 thousand 300 somoni.

He had not performed his promise and didn’t want to return her the money, and on 25th of April he secretly entered into her house, struck Melikuzieva several knife blows. Moreover, finding an unconscious woman murdered, he robbed her house and took things for more than 5 thousand somoni.
