The incident that took place at the construction site of the poultry farm in Russia’s Tyumen oblast in the early morning of November 19 has evokes bitterness, pain and alarm in Tajik society, according to the Tajik MFA information department.

Seven nationals of Tajikistan were killed and three others were injured in a fire that broke out at the at the construction site of the poultry farm not far from the village of Yurginskoye in Russia’s Tyumen oblast.

It is to be noted that they were the only breadwinners for their families in Tajikistan.

The Tajik MFA information department reports an appropriate note has been sent to the Russian Foreign Ministry on this subject.

The note, in particular, says that the Tajik side draws attention of the Russian authorities to the fact that “that tragic incident took place as a result of lack of appropriate elementary labor conditions for nationals of Tajikistan in the Russian Federation,” and employers should bear responsibility for that.

The Tajik Foreign Ministry regrets to point out the frequent periodicity of such incidents.

Proceeding from the foregoing, the Tajik side demands that the Russian side carry out an unbiased investigation to identify the cause of the incident and bring those guilty to justice.

Russian media outlets report the fire broke out at the construction site of the poultry farm at 01:40 am and was extinguished at 02:04 pm.  TASS reports that according to the preliminary data, the fire was caused by non-observance of safety precautions for handling electrical devices.
