Eleven people were injured on June 13 as an amusement ride “Swing Boat” crashed in Dushanbe’s State Emblem Park, according to the Interior Ministry’s website.
24 young people reportedly came to the park Tuesday evening after the soccer match between the national teams of Tajikistan and the Philippines and decided to go on the “Swing Boat” ride.
All 24 people got into the “Boat” and it broke down under the heavy weight after swinging, the source said, noting that eleven people sustained various injuries and were taken to hospital.
Prosecutor’s office of Dushanbe’s Ismoili Somoni district has launched an investigation into the accident.
The "Swing Boat" amusement ride was reportedly delivered from China and installed only twenty days ago.
