Soldier’s father has hanged himself just a week after his son was found hanged in a basement of the Khujand branch of the Military Institute of Tajikistan.

The 25-year-old Ziyodullo Sanginov from the village of Poshkent in Istaravshan district of Sughd province had served in a construction battalion of the Ministry of Defense in Dushanbe (a construction battalion is a kind of military battalion that is formally designated to engage in construction, and particularly in the building of structures for military use).

Sanginov was sent to construction works at the Military Institute’s branch in Khujand.  He was found hanged in a basement of the Military Institute’s branch in Khujand on July 17, a source in the Sughd law enforcement authorities told Asia-Plus in an interview.

Just a week later, his father hanged himself.  The Istaravshan prosecutor’s office has launched investigation into the cause of suicide committed by the soldier’s father, the source added.
