Two Tajik internet service providers (ISPs) now reportedly owe more than 1.3 million U.S. dollars to Kyrgyztelecom for Internet services.
Kyrgyztelecom top manager Nurlan Madaminov noted this today at the company board meeting, according to Radio Liberty’s Kyrgyz Service. He reportedly proposed to submit the issue of repayment of Tajik ISPs debt for consideration to the government.
Tajik ISPs Telecom Technology and Saturn-Online now owe 1.439 million U.S. dollars to Kyrgyztelecom for Internet services.
Saturn-Online reportedly owes 662,600 U.S. dollars to Kyrgyztelecom. Madaminov says international arbitration court has obliged the Tajik ISP to repay its debt but “Saturn-Online is not in a hurry to implement the court’s decision.”
“In this regard, Kyrgyztelecom persistently asks the government to discuss this issue with the Tajik Cabinet,” Madaminov noted.
Telecom Technology reportedly owes 687,219 U.S. dollars to Kyrgyztelecom, and the Kyrgyz state-owned telecommunication company has filed lawsuit against it in the international arbitration court.
