Dushanbe Mayor Rustam Emomali has signed a decree on allocating 2.92 million somoni to provide extraordinary grants to women working with the municipal management and maintenance enterprises.

The grants will be awarded to them on the occasion of the upcoming Day of the Mather, which is celebrated on March 8, and Navrouz holiday, which is celebrated in Tajikistan on March 21. 

The women will receive 1,000 somoni each, according to the press center of the Dushanbe mayor’s office.  

Recall, International Women’s Day has been known in Tajikistan as the Day of the Mother since March 2009.
