The lower house of the parliament of Tajikistan today supported the proposed amendments to the law “On the fight against corruption”.

According to the adopted amendments, before applying for work in state bodies, candidates will now be required to fill out a declaration of income, movable and immovable property.

As the Director of the Civil Service Agency under the President of Tajikistan, Juma Davlatov, told the people's elected representatives, the approved amendments are aimed at reducing the risk of corruption crimes in state bodies.

Recall, in Tajikistan, state officials, according to the law adopted 10 years ago, must annually in the end of March fill out a declaration of their income and property. However, this information is closed: how much the official earns in Tajikistan is not possible. Meanwhile, in many countries of the world this procedure is transparent.

Deputies also today supported the draft amendment to the law “On Diplomatic Service” proposed by the government..

According to the approved changes, henceforth the employees of the executive office of the President of Tajikistan, working in the sphere of international relations, are equated with Tajik diplomats.
