Tajik President Emomali Rahmon introduced a number of staff changes yesterday, shaking up regional administrators.

By president’s decree Zafarbek Davlatzoda was appointed acting mayor of the city of Konibodom (Sughd province) replacing Nozir Bohiri, who was relieved of his post of Konibodom mayor in connection with transfer to other job, according to the Tajik president’s official website.

Firdavs Sharifzoda was appointed acting mayor of the city of Guliston  (formerly Qairoqqum in Sughd province) replacing Matloubkhon Sattoriyon, who was relieved of his post of Guliston mayor in connection with transfer to other job.

The chairperson of Vanj district in the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO), Ms. Davlatbibi Rajabova, was retired for age reasons.

By president’s decree Jabbor Qosim was appointed acting head of Vanj district (GBAO).

Umar Yoqubzoda was relieved of his post of head of Shahriston district (Sughd province) in connection with transfer to other job.

Ashourali Jalilzoda was appointed acting head of Shahriston district.

Sulaimon Kabout was relieved of his post of head of Farkhor district (Khatlon province) in connection with transfer to other job.

Rustam Rahmatzoda was appointed acting head of Farkhor district.
