President Emomali Rahmon has introduced a number of staff changes in the country’s judicial system.

By president’s decrees chairmen of courts in Ishkashim (Azamjon Bobojonzoda) and Vanj (Matin Bobojonzoda) districts of the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) and in Yovon district (Yusuf Salimzoda) of Khatlon province were relieved of their duties in connection with transfer to other jobs.  

Deputy chairman of court in Roudaki district Qudbiddin Muminzoda, deputy chairman of the Dushanbe Constitutional Court Khisrav Rahimzoda and judge at the Khatlon regional court Bakhtiyor Naimzoda were also relieved of their duties in connection with transfer to other jobs.

President’s recommendations on electing Azamjon Bobojonzoda, Matin Bobojonzoda and Yusuf Salimzoda as judges at the Supreme Court of Tajikistan and Qudbiddin Muminzoda, Khisrav Rahimzoda and Bakhtiyor Naimzoda as judges at the High Economic Court of Tajikistan were sent for consideration to Tajikistan’s upper house (Majlisi Milli) of parliament (Majlisi Ol).

In accordance with Article 56 of the Constitution, the Majlisi Milli elects and recalls the chairman, deputy chairmen, and judges of the Constitutional Court, Supreme Court, and High Economic Court upon the recommendation of the President. 

Besides, Saifiddin Pirmuhammadzoda was relieved of his post of judge at the Khatlon regional court in connection with termination of his powers and Zubaidullo Mahmoudzoda was relieved of his post of judge at the Khatlon regional court for health reasons.

Judge at the Constitutional Court of Tajikistan, Mrs. Muhabbat Gulzor, was retired forage reasons.  

Abdulhafiz Ashourzoda, who had previously served as deputy chairman of the Supreme Court to Tajikistan, was appointed to head the Constitutional Court of the country, replacing Mahkam Mahmoudzoda, who was relieved of his duty in connection with transfer to other job.
