One person was killed and at least six others injured on October 21 as two cars collided in Danghara district, Khatlon province.

According to the Interior Ministry’s website, the accident took place in the Sangtuda jamoat early in the morning, at 6:00 am.

Abdusobir Safarov apparently lost control of his Opel-Astra and it went into the oncoming traffic and slammed into Daimler-Benz driven by Roziq Jalilov.

As a result of the collision, Safarov and his three passengers as well as three passengers of Daimler-Benz were hospitalized.                

Safarov later died in the hospital.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
