Five persons were killed in three traffic accidents that took place in the Istaravshan district of Sughd province, Dushanbe and the Roudaki district on November 21 and 22.

Three persons, including a one-year-old baby, were killed on November 22 as two cars collided in the Istaravshan district of Sughd province.

The accident took place in the afternoon at 3:00 pm on the Istaravshan-Uyas highway, according to the Interior Ministry’s website.

Olamafrouz Homidov, 24, apparently lost control of his Opel-Astra and it crashed at Opel-Astra driven by Akmal Jouraboyev.

As a result of the collision, Olamafrouz Homidov and his two passengers – Firouza Rajabova, 57, and a one-year-old Firdavs Homidov – sustained serious injuries and died on the way to a hospital.

Anther fatal accident took place on the same day in Dushanbe.  Mercedes-Benz, driven by Maroufjon Khudoinazarov, hit Ilhom Ismatulloyev.  The man died in a hospital.

On November 21, Daewoo, driven by Azam Abdurahmonov hit a woman in the Roudaki district.  The woman died on the spot. 

The causes of the traffic accidents are under investigation.
