A resident of Istaravshan (Sughd province), who introduced himself as Nematullo M., told Asia-Plus that over the past two days, they have not had electricity from 11:00 pm to 5:00 am.
Residents of the cities of Khujand, Guliston and Buston have also been left without electricity for several hours at different times of the day.
Fifteen large villages subordinate to the city of Panjakent have also had not electricity from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm for already more than 10 days.

Meanwhile, officials from local power supply networks say they periodically cut off electricity in order to carry out to carry out preventive maintenance on electrical substations and power transmission lines.
Thus, the head of the Sughd power supply network Toura Atamov says repair work is being carried out on power transmission lines and transformers in order to prepare pump stations for a new sowing season.
