As part of his working trip to the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO), Emomali Rahmon on August 19 visited the industrial and innovation park in the Darvoz district, according to the Tajik president’s official website.

Two state-of-the-art greenhouses using modern technologies, six workshops producing antiseptics, face masks, protective personal equipment and medical protective goggles, a workshop producing soft drinks, a honey-producing workshop and a workshop for the production of cardboard are located in this industrial innovation park.

The park has reportedly created more than 100 new jobs for local residents.  70 percent of the park employees are women.

Actually, labor force is used little in the greenhouses, and special fertilizers are used for growing vegetables.  Other operations, including maintaining the required air temperature inside the greenhouses, drip irrigation, enrichment of crops with fertilizers and feeding, are carried out automatically by means of new technologies.  This is the first experience in the Darvoz district.

Early tomatoes and cucumbers as well as bell peppers are grown here by a new method, the Tajik president’s official press center says.

Equipment for the workshops producing face masks. Antiseptics and protective personal equipment have been delivered from Turkey, Russia and China.

The products of the workshop producing soft drinks are completely import-substituting ones.  In the future, along with providing the population with soft drinks, the workshop will also export its products to other countries.

Products of the workshop producing honey are expected to be exported to other countries.  The workshop will also meet requirements of the population, restaurants and medical center in the ecologically pure honey.
