Over the past day, on the mountain roads of the country, CES officers on duty recorded two cases of a road traffic accident with a fatal outcome. 

The first case occurred at 22:20 at 80 km near the village of Poimazor, Vanj district of GBAO. "Stareks" driven by a 29-year-old local resident, who was heading to the center of the district, got into an accident.

At the time of the accident, there were two more passengers in the car. As a result, one of the passengers – a 17-year-old resident of the village of Ridzhvoz, Vanj district, died at the scene.

The second case occurred on the 81st kilometer of the Dushanbe-Khuzhand road, near the Anzob rural jamoat, Ayni district, Sughd region. Mersedes Benz driven by a 25-year-old resident of Gafurov district while driving towards the city of Dushanbe, having lost control, flew into a 150-meter cliff at full speed. There was one passenger in the car at the time of the accident. Driver and passenger were killed instantly.

Rescuers of the CoES in the Zeravshan zone of districts arrived at the scene. With the help of climbing equipment and special equipment, they removed the bodies of the dead, pulled them to the surface and handed them over to the appropriate authorities.  What led to the tragedy, and how the car flew off the road, the investigation will now find out.

CoES urges drivers to comply with the speed limit and all traffic rules.
