Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, who is also the Head of the Government, has introduced staff changes to the government’s power-wielding cluster.

According to the Tajik president’s official website, the staff changes have been introduced to the Interior Ministry, the Main Border Guard Directorate at the State Committee for National Security (SCNS), and the Emergencies Committee under the Government of Tajikistan.

By government’s decree issued on March 10 Rajab Saodatzoda was appointed Deputy Commander of the SCNS Border Troops for Logistics, replacing Asomuddin Ahmadov.

By government’s decrees all deputy heads of the Emergencies Committee were replaced.  Perspective young employees were reportedly appointed to these positions. 

Besides, the President gave the go-ahead to replace a number of chiefs of police departments in districts and heads of departments and directorates of the central office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. 

The head of state also replaced commanders of some border units and senior staff of the SCNS Main Border Guard Directorate.
