President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov proposed to develop, within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, a mechanism of action in the event of an attack by one country participating in the organization on another. He stated this on Thursday in Dushanbe during a meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council, TASS reports.

Taking into account the situation in the region, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic voiced a number of proposals, including the development of mechanisms for rapid response and decision-making within the organization in the event of armed aggression by one member state against another member state of the CSTO.

During a meeting in Dushanbe, Japarov raised the issue of the situation on the border of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

"He noted that the continuing tension on the line of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border obliges the Kyrgyz side to focus on this special attention of all member states of the organization", – notes the press service of the Kyrgyz leader.

At the same time, Japarov assured that Bishkek intends to continue the strategic dialogue with the CSTO partners on all issues of mutual interest in order to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of its activities.
