DUSHANBE, March 31, 2009, Asia-Plus — By government’s resolution of March 31 ex-chief of Barqi Tojik power holding Sharifkhon Samiyev was appointed to head the Norak hydroelectric power station (HPS), replacing Rustam Zoghakov, Tajikistan’s national news agency Khovar reported today.

We will recall that President Rahmon fired the head of the electricity company for failing to do his job.  Sharifkhon Samiyev was sacked during an annual cabinet meeting on January 16 this year.
