Businessman of Tajikistan and the Republic of Korea have signed a number of cooperation documents.

An investment forum of Tajikistan and Korea that took place in Dushanbe on November 25 has ended with signing of a number of new cooperation agreements, says the press center of the State Committee on Investment and State-owned Property Management (GosKomInvest).

More than 180 representatives of the business communities of both countries participated in the event.  They reportedly discussed issues related to the bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the republic of Korea in sectors like tourism, industry, information and communications technologies, and service industry.

According to official statistical data, the bilateral trade between Tajikistan and Korea over the first ten months of this year has valued at 36.2 million U.S. dollars, which was 3.7 percent fewer than in the same period last year.  This included only Tajikistan’s imports from Korea.

On November 23 and 24, a Korean delegation visited a number of industrial enterprises in the Tajik southern province of Khatlon, while the first Central Asia — Korea business forum is reportedly being held in Dushanbe today.
