The Government of Tajikistan has instructed relevant ministries and agencies to consider and approve a list of food products, mineral fertilizers, diesel fuel and gasoline being imported into the country this year on a preferential basis for the formation of state reserves.  

The Agency for State Material Reserves under the Government of Tajikistan is engaged in supplying the abovementioned products to the country.  

By governments decree of April 15, which is published on the Justice Ministry website for legal information, they are instructed to approve the list and volume of food products, mineral fertilizers, diesel fuel and gasoline exempt from paying VAT and excise taxes in the amount of 50% of the established rate as well as those completely exempt from paying customs duties. 

The list includes the following products with showing maximum amounts: wheat – 70,000 tons; sugar – 35,000 tons; wheat flour – 10,000 tons; vegetable oil – 2,000 tons; rice – 1,000 tons; gasoline and diesel fuel – 90,000 tons each; urea – 15,000 tons; and saltpeter – 5,000 tons.    

The Agency for State Material Reserves has received the right to a preferential supply of the abovementioned products in accordance with the law on the RT national budget for 2023.
