Six people were killed yesterday as a car fell off a cliff in Darvoz District of the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO).

Radio Liberty’s Tajik Service, known locally as Radio Ozodi, citing an official at the Darvoz regional administration, says the accident took place in the morning not far from the village of Ruzvai.  The car reportedly fell off the Qalai Karon cliff.

Four of those killed in the accident were reportedly from Dushanbe and two other were residents of GBAO’s Darvoz district.  

Meanwhile, there is information on social media that Humai Karimov, the head of Toji Nourafshon NGO, and Behzod Khojayev, an official at the Darvoz district administration, are among those killed in that accident.
