82 state investment projects in Tajikistan are being implemented, the total amount of which is 49.1 billion somoni ($4.5 billion), said the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Ashurboy Solehzoda at a press conference in Dushanbe on August 10.

In particular 50 grant projects, 4 credit projects, as well as 28 projects with mixed financing (grants + loans) are being implemented.

More than 33 billion somoni ($3.2 billion) or 67.3% for the implementation of these projects is provided free of charge, 14.6 billion somoni ($1.3 billion) or 29.7% – loans, 1.3 billion somoni ($120 million) or 2.6% – the share of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and other sources.

The disbursement of funds under existing projects in the first half of 2023 amounted to about 3.3 billion somoni (about $ 300 million).

In the first quarter of this year, the republic received foreign investments in the amount of $736.1 million, of which $86.5 million were direct investments, and $649.6 million were other investments.
