Emomali Rahmon inaugurates a number of economic and social facilities in Roudaki district

As part of his working visit to Roudaki district, President Emomali Rahmon on October 26 attended official opening ceremonies o fa number of social and economic facilities in the area.   

The Tajik president’s official website says that first, he inaugurated the Shohasar confectionery plant, which covers 2.42 hectares. It reportedly operates seven production lines, creating seven types of attractively designed confectionery products that completely replace imports.  The facility comprises five buildings: two production units, a raw material warehouse, a finished goods storage, administrative offices, a modern laboratory, and a 100-seat dining area.

Rahmon also inspected the fully renovated Central Stadium with a capacity of 8,000 spectators in the administrative center of Roudaki district. The stadium’s modernization, costing 4.3 million somonis, was reportedly funded by the District Development Fund and local entrepreneurs.  Now, the stadium includes an Olympic reserve sports school and a district sports school with 892 athletes, offering training in 11 sports.

The President also opened two new educational buildings in School No. 10 in the village of Madad, designed for 650 students in two shifts, fully equipped for education.  With the new buildings, the total staff has increased to 85 people. Additionally, a summer sports field for football and volleyball was introduced.

Remotely, Rahmon commissioned the new buildings of general educational institutions No. 73 and No. 83, with a combined capacity of 1,000 students, providing the necessary conditions for learning.

Additionally, he inaugurated a new wing of secondary school No. 20 in the village of Hayoti Nav, funded by the local authorities.  The new building, with a capacity of 650 students, includes 13 classrooms and two workrooms, staffed by 28 teachers.

The Children’s Art School named after Mukhtor Ashrafi was also officially opened in the district, highlighting the president’s focus on developing educational institutions.

In conclusion, Rahmon opened Preschool Institution No. 9 for 160 children and the Khishti Nav  brickworks  with a capacity of 200,000 bricks per day.

In Chorgulteppa jamoat of the Roudaki district, Emomali Rahmon reportedly launched the second phase of the Sarjam shoe enterprise.  The company produces two types of seasonal shoes, with a market demand, and is capable of producing up to 366,000 pairs annually.  With new modern equipment, production volume is expected to increase to 515,000 pairs, and the workforce will expand to 45 people.  The first phase of the enterprise was launched a year ago, and in total, more than 50 types of high-quality shoes will be produced.
