The Embassy of China in Dushanbe and Tajikistan’s state-run news agency Khovar have announced a photo contest dedicated to the Parliament and Government buildings of Tajikistan — symbols of China-Tajikistan cooperation.

The contest is being held in honor of the completion of construction of these buildings in July 2024, with the participation of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.

Citizens of Tajikistan are invited to participate. The deadline for submissions is June 2, 2025.

Photographs should highlight the architectural value of the buildings, seasonal changes, and the symbolism of friendship between the two countries.

Submission requirements:

  • Format: JPG/JPEG
  • File size: 3–15 MB
  • Resolution: at least 300 dpi
  • Up to three entries per person (single photos or series of up to 5 photos)
  • No AI-generated content or excessive editing allowed
  • Each entry must include a title and description (up to 200 words)
  • Files must be sent as a single archive to: [email protected]
  • Email subject: “Last Name – Title of Work”

Prizes:

  • 1st Place – 10,000 somoni and a diploma
  • 2nd Place (3 winners) – 5,000 somoni and a diploma each
  • 3rd Place (6 winners) – 3,000 somoni and a diploma each
  • Honorary Awards (20 winners) – Chinese souvenirs and a diploma

All participants will receive certificates. Winners will be invited to an award ceremony in June 2025.
