Tajik, Kyrgyz presidents virtually open a BCP on Tajikistan-Kyrgyzstan border

After the completion of the meeting and negotiations at the highest level, which took place at the Palace of Nation on July 8, President Emomali Rahmon and his Kyrgyz counterpart Sadyr Japarov took part in the virtual opening ceremony of the border crossing point (BCP) "Tojvaron" – "Karamik" on the state border of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.

The Tajik president’s official website says the responsible persons reported to the Presidents on the readiness to open this BCP.

The heads of the two nations reportedly gave permission to open the border crossing point. 

The ceremony was held with the participation of the leadership and residents of Tajikistan’s Lakhsh district and Kyrgyzstan’s Chon-Alai district.
