Tajikistan will hold its first national telecom industry awards ceremony, Telecom Awards Tajikistan 2025, in December this year. The initiative is being spearheaded by the Communications Service under the Government of Tajikistan.

According to the communications service agency, the Telecom Awards will become an annual event aimed at mobile operators and internet service providers across the country. Its main goal is to encourage the development of faster and higher-quality telecommunications services in Tajikistan.

The concept and execution of the event were discussed at a recent meeting of the organizing committee, chaired by Communications Service head Isfandiyor Saidullo. The committee includes representatives from the Communications Service, the Mobile Operators Association, the Internet Providers Association, telecom companies, and independent experts.

The awards will be presented across 15 categories, including:

·         Best Mobile Operator

·         Best Internet Provider

·         Telecom Innovation of the Year

·         Most Innovative Service

·         Customer Choice Award

·         Best Customer Service

·         Industry Development Contribution

·         Investment Project of the Year

·         Social Initiative of the Year

·         Fastest Growing Company

·         Best Value for Money

·         Best Corporate Solution

·         Best Digital Service of the Year

·         Fastest Mobile Network

·         Fastest Fixed-Line Network

Evaluation criteria will include service and customer support quality, pricing, technical and infrastructure innovations, social significance, corporate responsibility, and recognition by both users and experts.

Performance will be assessed using multiple methods:

  • CATI (Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing) to gauge customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Mystery Shopping to evaluate in-store service quality
  • OOKLA Speedtest Intelligence for data on internet speed, coverage, and performance
  • DMTEL analysis to technically assess mobile networks in line with ETSI standards

Once the jury—comprising independent experts and industry professionals—is confirmed and evaluations are completed, the winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in December.
