DUSHANBE, January 30, Asia-Plus — A home gas blast has left two injured in Dushanbe.

According to information from the Dushanbe center for fire-prevention supervision, the accident took place in microrayon 46 in Dushanbe on January 28, at 6:40 a.m.  Mahmadnaim Melikov, senior inspector with the Dushanbe center for fire-prevention supervision, has told Asia-Plus that the gas escape caused the blast. 

The blast was sufficiently powerful that it blew out the windows and doors in the apartment, according to the Asia-Plus interlocutor.  “The apartment holder 68-year-old Hasan Ghafforov and his 28-year-old daughter Yelena received various burns and were taken to the city burn-treatment center,” Melikov said.
